Our process begins with researching each plant's unique biology and chemistry, to identify the key biomarkers that deliver real benefits. From there, we carefully select the best   varieties or phenotypes and find the ideal growing conditions—whether that’s soil, climate, or elevation—to ensure the potency of every plant. We also test the soil for heavy metals, pesticides and other potential contaminants to ensure our products are as clean and safe as possible.  When harvest time arrives, we assess the optimal time of the season, time of the day (diurnal cycle), plant growth stage and harvest method to maximize the active ingredients in the plant.

By following the traditional, time-tested practices like crop rotation and soil rejuvenation, we maintain the health of our farms in places like Peru, Vanuatu and France, where crops have been harvested in some cases for thousands of years. We also understand the benefits of organic farming for both higher plant quality and purity; all of our farms are organically certified or in transition to becoming organically certified.
