While the quality of the Original Himalayan Crystal Salt remains the same no matter what grind you choose, it is recommended that you use the stones for making Sole. The reason for this is that the more you refine (read: grind) salt, the more information you lose. With information lost, you are not receiving the full benefits that you would using the Stones to make your Sole because the finer ground salts do not have the same high concentration levels of the 84 trace minerals as the Stones. Also, with the smaller grinds of salt, especially Fine Granulated, there is a chance of floating salt particles in your Sole, thereby increasing your daily salt intake. If you do prefer using the Fine or Coarse Granulated to make Sole, it is advised that you use an extremely wide mouth glass jar.
