Herbatonin® 0.3 mg is the world’s first plant-based melatonin, sourced from alfalfa, chlorella, and rice, and designed around a low, physiological dose that reflects what your body naturally produces each night. While most melatonin supplements are synthetic and often taken in higher amounts, Herbatonin® delivers melatonin within its natural plant matrix for gradual release, supporting restful sleep, circadian rhythm, and overnight recovery in a way that feels aligned, not excessive.*

Benefits of Herbatonin®

Sleep

Melatonin supports the circadian rhythm and sleep/wake cycle.*

Antioxidant

Melatonin is a unique antioxidant in that it can cross the blood brain barrier and it prevents oxidant formation, scavenges free radicals and repairs oxidized molecules, most antioxidants only do one or two of these functions.*

Cellular Health

Melatonin supports healthy inflammation, reduces DNA and cellular damage and supports mitochondrial health.*

Directions for Use

Take 1 capsule of Herbatonin 0.3mg daily, about 30 minutes before going to bed.

Sleep Tip: Melatonin responds to light and dark, not day and night. For best results go to sleep in darkness, with no screens or night lights and wake to sunlight.*

Cellular Health & Antioxidant Tip: The body’s own production of melatonin drops to about 0.1mg per day after the age of 55 so adding Herbatonin 0.3mg brings the body back to normal physiological levels.*

ORAC - Antioxidant +

The Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, or “ORAC score” is a method of measuring the antioxidant capacity of different foods and supplements.

ORAC - Antioxidant

Herbatonin demonstrated up to 950% stronger antioxidant potential as compared to synthetic melatonin according to ORAC.

Independent laboratory analysis on Herbatonin demonstrated that it could have up to 950% stronger antioxidant potential and free radical scavenging capacity as compared to synthetic melatonin.*

Free Radical Scavenging +

DPPH is method used to measure the antioxidant potential by analyzing the capacity to scavenge free radicals.

Free Radical Scavenging

Herbatonin demonstrated up to 470% stronger antioxidant potential as compared to synthetic melatonin according to DPPH.

In vitro research on Herbatonin demonstrated that it could have up to 470% stronger antioxidant potential and free radical scavenging capacity as compared to synthetic melatonin.*

Inflammation Inhibition +

COX-2 is an enzyme responsible for inflammation, swelling and resulting pain.

Inflammation Inhibition

Herbatonin demonstrated up to 640% greater ability to reduce COX-2 enzyme activity as compared to synthetic melatonin.

Melatonin acts as a COX-2 inhibitor, reducing its production and thus inflammation, swelling and potential pain.

In vitro research on Herbatonin demonstrated that it could have up to 640% greater ability to reduce COX-2 enzyme activity as compared to synthetic melatonin.*

ROS – Cellular Damage +

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are byproducts of cellular metabolism. Overproduction of ROS is associated with cellular, mitochondrial and DNA damage as well as the development of various human diseases, inflammation, and aging. Higher ROS levels = higher cell damage.

ROS – Cellular Damage

Herbatonin demonstrated up to 100% greater ability to reduce ROS cell damage as compared to synthetic melatonin.

In vitro research on Herbatonin demonstrated that it could have up to 100% great ability to reduce ROS cell damage as compared to synthetic melatonin.* For our full research go to our publication on PubMed at Molecules. 2021 Oct; 26(19): 6087. Titled: Is Phytomelatonin Complex Better Than Synthetic Melatonin? Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Herbatonin® 0.3 mg?
We’re Here to Help

What is Herbatonin®?

+

Herbatonin is a proprietary, 100% natural plant extract of phyto-melatonin (melatonin of plant origin) per capsule. Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland that aids sleeping patterns or bio-rhythm regulation.

How is Herbatonin® different?

+

Herbatonin is not synthetic. It is a proprietary phyto-melatonin complex using chlorella and alfalfa.  This plant-melatonin is embedded within the bio-available cell matrix of specific plants and is bio-identical to human melatonin. Herbatonin® vegan capsules contain no solvents, excipients or chemicals of any kind, just the 100% pure herbal powder.

Which Herbatonin should I take?

+

Herbatonin 3 mg is primarily for individuals who need sleep support resulting from jet lag or shift work.

Herbatonin 0.3 mg is for people  who wish to take melatonin long term.

How does Herbatonin® work?

+

Independent studies show that melatonin mimics the actions of the natural hormone made by the pineal gland in the brain – this hormone controls sleeping patterns and your body's internal clock.

Melatonin is a hormone released from the pineal gland each night to help you sleep by aiding bio- rhythm regulation. Melatonin secretion is enhanced in darkness, decreased by light exposure and also declines with age. This is one of the reasons many older people find it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Melatonin has been found to stimulate natural antioxidant systems in addition to offering protection to the DNA present within cells. The ability of melatonin to inhibit oxidative damage has been tested in numerous clinical studies.

How can Herbatonin® 0.3 mg help me?

+
Herbatonin 0.3 mg:

Supports a healthy response to inflammation*

May help support processes related to healthy inflammation*

Helps with healthy inflammatory activity*

Has been shown to help reduce the inflammatory signal, COX-2, in a cell model*

Can I give Herbatonin® to my child?

+

As per our labeling, melatonin is not recommended for children under the age of 18.  The peak age for natural melatonin production is age 13.  As such, Herbatonin®, even the low dose, is not recommended for children for sleep concerns.  The only exception to this is using Herbatonin under the guidance of your child’s healthcare provider for sleep concerns as a result of ADHD or Autism diagnosis.

If you have a child who cannot get to sleep, we suggest exploring and modifying other lifestyle aspects, such as exposure to blue light (TV, computer, video games, tablets, etc.), avoidance of sugar before bed, establishing a set bedtime routine/ritual, taking a soothing bath, etc. Here is a nice resource of ideas.

Can I take Herbatonin® 0.3 mg long term?

+

Herbatonin® 0.3 mg can be taken longer term. Current studies on safety have been conducted for periods of up to 2 years without any reported concerns.  The suggested length of time for taking the product varies based on each person’s needs.  We encourage you to work with your healthcare provider to get to the root of why you cannot sleep, as this can be multifactorial. A personalized approach to your sleep is most ideal.
