SUMMARY: This role is responsible for running our Natural Retail Channel where we sell only direct to stores. You would manage our broker team of 50 across 24 regions selling nationally into thousands of independent stores, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Vitamin Shoppe, Pharmaca, Earth Fare and many more. Your focus would be to educate, empower and make champions of store staff in order for them to do the same for their customers, to create sales and marketing strategies for use in natural health stores and to devise novel ways to partner with major chains, as well as independent stores, in the ever changing new world of retail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:
50% Manage, support and empower our national broker team, including traveling to regions to develop relationships and assess first-hand the regional business, to supply monthly sales reports, and to guide the team with direction, advice and support. Managing our training/education team who will travel to stores across the country educating and empower stores and executing our new in store condition specific health programs increasing basket size, compliance, repeat sales and the health of store customers.
15% Operations, reports, meetings, paperwork for key accounts, tradeshows
15% Devise and execute sales and marketing strategies
20% Develop, create, execute and manage an online training strategy to empower, educate and train reps and store staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Five years of related work experience, a strong understanding of the supplements industry and the changing retail environment. Excel expertise a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence, and company procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current valid Driver’s License. Ability to travel 4-5 days per month.
